Performance Simulation of Photovoltaic Solar Assisted-Heat Pump Water Heating System
The lumped parameter method was introduced to build the steady state models of photovoltaic solar assisted-heat pump water heater (PV-SAHP) system, so as to study the performance of photovoltaic solar heat pump hot water system. The models, covering PV evaporator, compressor,condenser, electronic expansion valve, were used to analyze the changes of electrical efficiency and thermal efficiency with varying environmental temperature, solar radiation, wind speed and compressor capacity. Based on the meteorological data in Nanjing, the performance of proposed PV-SAHP system was compared with that of traditional direct expansion solar assisted-heat pump water heating (DX-SAHP) system and PV system. The results show that the annual power generation of PV-SAHP system is more than that of DX-SAHP system by 31.5%; the average coefficient of performance of PV/T-SAHP system can reach 8.83, considerably higher than that of SAHP system.
