Abstract

CO2 emission reduction goal is proposed by Paris Agreement, which is challenging for controlling the carbon emissions of the coal-fired power plant. Electric power enterprises must reduce the carbon emissions to satisfy the emission standard in China. In order to promote the energy conservation and decrease the carbon emissions of the coal-fired power generation, the methods of CO2 emission reduction of the coal-fired power plant are introduced, such as, increase the power generation efficiency to reduce the coal consumption, develop the power generation methods of the coal and biomass co-firing, generalize the CO2-capture and storage technology(CCS). The analysis results indicate that the maximum of the power generation efficiency to reduce the coal consumption reduction is severed as the main approach of the CO2 emission reduction at present.
