Simulation and Analysis of Wind Farm Optimization Operation Based on PSS/E

Abstract

To maximize the benefits, the wind farm operation not only meets the requirements of grid-connected point voltage and reactive power, but also minimizes the loss in the wind farm. This paper mainly discusses the setting method of different control modes of wind turbines in PSS/E and the realization of optimal power flow (OPF) function, and analyzes the wind farms completing normal power flow and optimal flow under different targets and constraints. The results show that different targets and different constraints have a greater impact on the optimal power flow distribution.
